I brought home this gorgeous cyclamen plant before Valentine’s Day. I had the perfect spot for it on my kitchen island. It didn’t agree. I gave up and put it in the garage for easily 2 weeks. No, the garage is not heated. It just sat there. About a week ago, my poinsettia went out with the other winter decor and I set the cyclamen in its spot, gave it some water and a little indoor blooming plant fertilizer and here come the blooms! Turns out it just needed more light.
Same, sweet plant. Same! ☀️

Here’s the answer to yesterdays question regarding what you thought I would choose from the antique store photo (second photo) … a pewter plate and mini bowl!! To be fair, the plate was kind of hidden in the stack but a few people zeroed in on the pewter items. 🙌 I also mentioned that I have a fun thing coming up on Wednesday that I bought this for … that fun thing?? The @helloiowa13 show on @whotv13 in Des Moines! It’s a live cooking segment … show starts at 11am … not sure what time my segment will be but I do know I will be able to share the segment after it airs. So stay tuned to see what recipe I’ve chosen to “make” in the 4 minutes allotted and how I will use these pretty pewter items to show off the food!
Oh, and also, I chose this plate because it will make a beautiful addition to my 4th of July kitchen decor!

Just in case you’re wondering, it’s still winter in Minneapolis! ❄️

We made it to MPLS to pet sit for our kids just before the snow started. Estimating 15”-18” of super fluffy snow over the past couple days. The kids across the street have been out shoveling and playing and a couple stopped by selling Girl Scout cookies. We stocked up … don’t want to starve if we’re stuck here for a while! 😉
