Walking through my garden the other morning I saw

Walking through my garden the other morning I saw something truly phenomenal … all the leaves on my vining plants were outlined with perfectly spaced droplets of water. I’m guessing I’ve never seen this before because it takes a certain amount of moisture, certain weather conditions, and a moment in time before they drop off or evaporate. The miracle is that I happened to be in the garden at the right time and wasn’t rushing through my must-do’s. A gentle reminder to take a deep breath today and look for the beauty of the earth and the beauty in others. ❤️🙏🌎

• celebrating the marriage of our friends’ son and reconnecting with so many friends and neighbors 🥂
• hearing the food stories of the people I met at a book signing and catching a glimpse of my book displayed along with so many wonderful devotionals
• beating the forecasted heat in my garden and getting a visit from my buddy Bart
• using fresh asparagus in a frittata along with red pepper, roasted corn (can’t wait til that’s fresh too), and bacon

This shop is high on my list of “happy places”! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jamie over the past few years and she was so gracious to host a book signing for me tonight. It was a big bonus for me to get to meet and chat with a couple ladies who already had my book! They came in just to say hi … and maybe grab some of the snacks! 😉
